The discount items that we will define on the discounts page are used during student registration. We can define discounts in different types as rate, quantity and free discount. You can access it from the "Discounts" page under the Accounting module.
Adding a Discount
- Click Add Discount.
- Enter the discount name.
- Enter the discount rate.
- Enter the discount amount.
- If it is a free discount, please activate the "Yes" option.
- If valid within a certain date range, enter a date range.
The Discount Rate and the Discount Amount cannot be used together for the same Discount. If the Free Discount is active, the Discount Rate and the Discount Amount are not taken into account.
If a date range is entered for a discount item, the discount is displayed in the relevant date range on the application screen.
Discount Application Criteria
This setting is used to categorize the discounts that will be applied.
Adjustments can be made for two situations.
Student Receives Scholarship "Yes"
Student Receives Scholarship "No"
After determining the scholarship status, select the discounts that will be included in the criteria.
Set the "Progressive Discount" setting.
Determine at what rate this setting will work. "Tuition Fee or Total Fee"
Enter Rate or Quantity.
All defined discount items can be applied to students.
The discounts that you have categorized from the discount criteria are applied according to the criterion setting.
Example Scenario:
Our Criteria
Scholarship status: "Yes"
Indices included in the criteria: Sibling Discount, Staff Discount
Progressive Discount*: Yes
Applicable Fee: Tuition Fee
Rate: %20
Quantity: (auto off because the rate is entered)
Working Example
Scholarship students will be enrolled.
Scholarship addition was made.
On the discount application screen, the scholarship is first applied to the student and then the discounts within the criteria are applied, and the total rate of the scholarships and discounts applied is applied to 20% of the education fee.
If there are 10% + 5% + 7% rates, the last discount applied is converted to a fee with a sum of 20% of the discounts.
Progressive discount Yes: The discount rate is calculated on a fixed tuition rate. If the tuition fee is 100 USD, the discount rate within the 10% criterion is always applied as 100 USD.
Progressive Discount No: The discount rate is calculated based on the remaining tuition fee after each applied discount. If the tuition fee is 100 USD, if a different discount of 10% is applied, the 10% discount in the criterion appears as 9 USD and is reflected by recalculation according to the additional discounts.
